Jake discovered a love of nature and ecology at an early age. Always running through the woods barefoot or collecting frogspawn at a local pond, he developed a strong sense of responsibility for the landscapes that brought him so much joy. This sense of responsibility led him to the Penn State Landscape Architecture program, where he studied in Tanzania, Germany, and the Netherlands, receiving an ASLA Student Honor Award for his body of work. After graduating, Jake hiked the Appalachian Trail, gallivanting and sketching his way up the East Coast, before joining the MBA team. Jake’s other passions include sourdough bread baking, honing his chess prowess, and taking care of his oversized houseplant collection.
