Located along a prominent thoroughfare to Jersey City’s waterfront, Haus 25 integrates a series of terraced landscapes that transform the high-rise into a vertical neighborhood. A terraced street level plaza activates the entry experience, with various garden spaces forming a juncture between the high-rise residential tower, nearby elementary school and apartment building located on a singular block. Expansive rooftop terraces and gardens provide residents with a multitude of outdoor spaces for gathering, fitness, and relaxation, all framed by sweeping views of the Paulus Hook, Exchange place and nearby NYC skyline. A dedicated dog run terrace with specialized turf, obstacles and seating provides an outlet for two-legged and four-legged residents alike. Shade trees, resilient planting, and numerous amenities create a layered, restorative environment that balances useability with comfort. A 57th floor observation terrace provides unobstructed views towards NYC and Liberty State Park. By weaving nature into every level of the building, the design establishes Haus 25 as a model for how landscape can humanize density and redefine the future of urban living.
